LOL good one Devil I can't think of another one who can win on merit. All they can do is create lies and yell about Obama (not in small part because of the color of his skin). It sounds like a plan to them now but wait until people wake up in time to vote. you wait.
This is why I don't think the Republican's have a shot. They are pushing away the base left and right. He might be polling poorly, but nothing raises your rating like the idiot running next to you.

Never underestimate the GOP. Karl Rove's minions still run the companies that strategize with the GOP. Nothing happens by accident. Knowing how sneaky and formidable the GOP can be, I'd say they are playing it smart, and waiting to reveal any Mr Generics until the last minute. Then after that they'll mitigate any mainstream media exposure like they're doing with Rand Paul and Sharron Angle. In the mean time they would be smart to focus on driving negative narrative on Obama.
I'd vote for Ron Paul if he ran.
Also, your "polls" go completely against Oldschool's polls. What is this tomfoolery?!

Yeah thats the problem though. Rove requires control of the narritive to win. And he's not going to be able to get it if he tries for it in 2012. There is going to be a red-hot fever pitch. Some people have been waiting for the 2012 election like the liberals waited for 2008 when they got the results in 2004.
